2020 Fundraising Efforts in Memory of Harriet Cohen
*** Thank you so much for helping us to reach our goal and beyond! There is still time to donate as the hospice hasn't quite met their $80k goal as of yet. We are so thankful for your continued support, and know your donations are going to a fantastic cause. ***
Dear Family and Friends,
Our family has decided to join the Great 2020 Hospice Activity Challenge to help raise money for Margaret Bahen Hospice in Newmarket, Ontario. This is the second year we are participating in fundraising efforts with Margaret Bahen Hospice.
As many of you know, our Mom Harriet passed away in December 2017 after a 16-month courageous fight against cancer. In the short time our mom was a resident at Margaret Bahen Hospice, we met so many wonderful volunteers and staff who made us feel like family. Mom was treated with the love and dignity she deserved, and her comfort was made a top priority. Furthermore, our family was welcomed with open arms. We were encouraged to make ourselves at home, and given the space we needed to grieve as a family. The formal and informal support that we received was incredible, and helped us get through the most difficult days of our lives.
Our hope is to continue to help raise money for Margaret Bahen Hospice so that other families can access the same type of care and support for their loved ones as we received. This year Dad has committed to walking 41km from August 1st through September 10th - (the equivalent of how many years Mom & Dad were married!) in honor of this great cause.
The Activity Challenge is accepting donations through September 11, 2020. We truly appreciate your generosity and thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
With Sincerest Thanks,
(Mike / Alisa, Neil & Serena / Deena, Sam, Jacob & Noah / Jen)
