Welcome to My Personal Page
As most of you know, Hospice is near and dear to my heart. I got involved with Hospice some 20 years ago just because I thought it was a good cause. Little did I know that one day I would become a client, nor could I anticipate that Hospice would be there for a family member in need of compassionate end-of-life care.
All Hospice programs and services are FREE to people living with a life-threatening diagnosis. While government support funds a portion of the cost of services, the shortfall is more than 50%, making fundraising a necessity. This year, because of COVID-19, Hospice was forced to cancel Hike for Hospice and other fundraising projects.
Instead, we are having The Great 2020 Hospice Activity Challenge. Together, Margaret Bahen Residential Hospice & Doane House Community Hospice hope to raise more than $80,000 from this challenge. All these donations will stay right here in our community helping those who need us most.
I can tell you that sitting around for nearly six months has left me very much in need of a physical challenge – and my pledge is to walk every day, from August 1st to 31st, for at least one hour.
I hope that you will support my pledge and my Hospice by making a donation to help maintain the free service for those in need.
All donations of $10 and above will receive a charitable tax receipt and, if you make it online, you will help to reduce administration costs for the hospice. I can still accept cash and cheques if that is more convenient for you. Just give me a call or mail your donation to Hospice at 653 Queen St, Newmarket ON, L3Y 2J1 and make sure you include that you are sponsoring me for the Activity Challenge!
If you have any questions, you know how to reach me or you can call Juliet Irish, the Hospice Special Event Advisor, email@example.com or call 905-967-1500 x197.
Thank you so much for your consideration.
